Connecting to the Speaker

Connecting with the Polaroid Wi-Fi App Cl

• Search for the Polaroid Wi-Fi App on the Google Play Store (Android devices) or App Store (iOS devices). Download and install.
• Open the Wi-Fi app and tap the Add Device button. Enter the Wi-Fi password for the network you are connected to and tap the Connect button.
• Press and hold the [ M] button until you hear a voice from the speaker “Connecting to your network this may take one to three minutes.” Tap Next, the speaker will finish connecting. While the speaker is in Wi-Fi mode, the LED indicator will turn solid WHITE.

Connecting with the Auxiliary Cable
Attach one end of the supplied 3.5mm auxiliary cable to the AUX jack on the speaker. The speaker will automatically switch to auxiliary input mode. Attach the other end to the headphone jack of your device.

Pairing with Bluetooth

• Press the [ M ] button to switch to Bluetooth mode. A voice will be heard and the speaker lights will flash BLUE.
• Set your mobile device to search for Bluetooth devices. When your mobile device finds the speaker, select PWF1002 from the list of found devices.
• After a successful pairing, a tone will be heard indicating that the pairing was a success.

Using the Speaker

Powering ON/OFF
Long press the [►] button to power the speaker ON or OFF.

Changing Input Modes
Press the [ M J button to change between Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Auxiliary input modes.

Adjusting Volume
Press the [ – ] and [+]buttons to adjust volume or use the controls on your paired device or in-app controls.

Playing Music
To play music with the speaker, please refer to the Connecting to the Speaker section of this user guide. Music can be played via the Polaroid Wi-Fi mobile app, pairing your device via Bluetooth, or by connecting a 3.5mm auxiliary cable.

Using the Speaker with Alexa

The PWF1002 has extensive integration with Amazon Alexa. To use the speaker with Alexa you must login (or create an Amazon account if you do not have one) at Alexa.Amazon.com, then log in via the Polaroid Wi-Fi app.

Once logged in, you will be able to use Alexa functions with the speaker. Please consult Amazon’s Alexa website for tutorials on how to use Alexa and adjust your Alexa settings.

Once you have logged into and set up Alexa through the Polaroid Wi-Fi app, you may interact with Alexa by speaking aloud and starting your sentences with ‘Alexa.” You may ask questions such as ‘Alexa, what isthe weather?” or make requests, such as ‘Alexa, play some music” or “Alexa set a reminder.”

• After it is set up, Alexa can be activated with your voice or by pressing the [ • ] button for immediate access.
• To mute/unmute voice access press the [ f ] button.
• Press the [ • ] button to immediately access Alexa without voice activation.

Charging the Speaker

To charge the speaker attach the small end of the supplied micro-USS cable to the USB charging port on the side of the speaker. Attach the large end to the USB port on a computer, USB charging device, or 5V USB adapter. The LED indicator will turn RED while charging and turn OFF when fully charged.

Using the Speaker with Spotify

Listen Out loud with Spotify Connect
Once the PWF1001 has been connected to your Wi-Fi network, Spotify can be used with the speaker via the official Spotify mobile app.

• Connect your Polaroid Wi-Fi Speaker to your Wi-Fi network (as described in the Connecting the Speaker – Connecting with the Polaroid Wi-Fi App section of this user manual).
• Open up the Spotify app on your phone, tablet, or laptop using the same Wi-Fi network.
• Play a song and select Devices Available.
• Select your Polaroid Wi-Fi Speaker and start listening.
